It's difficult for Australia to break new ground.

The greatest achievements have been successfully scaled.

This is the team that has won seven Cricket World Cups, along with another six T20 titles, and previously enjoyed nearly four years without defeat in 50-over cricket.

The remaining milestones, those for the peak baggers, are all that remain for a team that has accomplished all there is.

The fact it required up to Sunday's success by three wickets over India for them to accomplish their maiden ODI chase exceeding 300, taking back their record for the biggest in the women's 50-over format, is, in truth, a tribute to the pitchers that have represented Australia over the last half-century.

Some will argue the case for the pressure of a final. Some might respond with the difficulty that comes when facing a record target and a loud pro-India audience of 20,000.

What is certain is this hundred was far harder to see coming.

"A chance to take the field and face the challenge with her and simply enjoy myself that way, kind of motivated me," stated Healy.

She reached fifty in 35 deliveries - her quickest at a World Cup - and her century in 84 balls as she punished short deliveries, striking 21 boundaries and three big hits.

By the time she was removed her side needed 66 more at a run-a-ball - an unconquered height now requiring a leisurely stroll.

"Chasing 330 runs is unfamiliar ground so I am glad we have the belief to achieve that now," continued Healy.

"Hopefully we don't have to do it another time but, should it happen, we believe we can succeed."

These statements will be the last Australia's opponents at this tournament want to hear.

Over the past five days a belief they will triumph from any situation has grown stronger - this success succeeding victory over Pakistan by 107 runs despite being 76-7 at one point.

Next Australia play Bangladesh before an encounter with old rivals England in Indore in a week and a half, by which point a semi-final berth may probably be guaranteed.

During that phase they exited the previous year's T20 World Cup in an unexpected loss by South Africa - an encounter Healy was absent due to damaged tissue in her foot as she led her country for the initial instance at a significant event.

So great is her will, she subsequently stated she wanted to have participated with the discomfort.

However although she afterwards confessed those physical issues have delayed thoughts of retirement, this championship is anticipated as her final tournament as skipper in ODI cricket and she is still to achieve an international tournament as skipper.
